Impartial, reasoned assessment
Explain assessment criteria, disclose conflicts and retain appropriate evidence and reasons. Corrections, suspension or withdrawal follow applicable terms and authorised decisions.
Complaints and appeals
Identify the appropriate complaint or result-review route, required evidence and announced deadlines. Distinguish data correction, an assessment appeal and a contractual dispute.
Privacy and publication
A privacy notice identifies the controller, purposes, lawful basis, sharing, retention, rights and contact route. Review publication of member and judge data and photographs against its purpose and lawful basis.
Two distinct forms of judging
Competition judging and sensory assessment differ from arbitration to resolve disputes. A competition judge card does not automatically authorise deciding a contractual dispute.
A separate dispute agreement
The relevant document addresses parties, scope, law, seat, rules, language, fees and appointments as appropriate. Mediation supports agreed settlement; arbitration is governed by its agreement and applicable law. This brochure imposes no arbitration clause on its reader.
